The Italian catering and retail company Autogrill appointed BBVA, along with Credit Agricole and Mediobanca, as Global Coordinators to lead the debt structuring of the Facilities in favour of World Duty Free Group.

The Spanish company leading group's travel retail and duty free business, World Duty Free Group, has entered into a 5-year new facility of 1.25 billion Euros.

The credit facility will be used to repay the loans made available to World Duty Free and its subsidiaries and to meet requirements of operating and non-operating business activities. The structure of the Facility includes a bridge tranche to capital markets.

Autogrill is one of the world leaders in the catering and duty free industry. The Group is organised into two business divisions: Travel & Retail through World Duty Free, and Food & Beverage through Autogrill. The Group has decided by means of a Demerger to split the two divisions into two separated Italian listed companies. This implies a substantial re-organisation of the overall indebtedness structure of the two entities. Currently World Duty Free Group manages 67 airports in c.20 countries across Europe, North and South America and the Middle East.
