BBVA has been distinguished with three awards during 2013 for its outstanding role in the Latin American structured products market. These awards, which are among the most respected in the Latin American specialised financial industry, represent the solid trajectory of BBVA in the region.

BBVA was elected Best House in Latin America, including Best in Performance and Best in Sales for the region, by the Euromoney magazine Structured Retail Products . The bank was also elected Structured Products House of the Year in Latin America by the magazine Structured Products and best Investor Solutions Bank by the database MTN-I.

These awards recognize BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking for its leadership,  its capacity to provide added value to clients in the Latin American structured products arena and its ability to innovate products and solutions on diverse and flexible markets.

BBVA Bancomer is currently the largest issuer of structured notes in Mexico, boasting a market share of around 30%. It also dominates the warrants market with a share of over 40%. BBVA Continental was also the first local bank in Peru to offer its customers products linked to the S&P 500 and Eurostoxx 50 indexes.

Manuel Meza, Head of Latam Structured Products, highlights the importance of these awards for the BBVA Group since they have been given at a time when the market is beginning to take off. "We forecast that the market will experience two-digit growth in the coming months as high-net-worth individual banking gains momentum in the region and we see clients becoming increasingly sophisticated," he explains.

These awards highlights, once again, the level of specialized services offered by BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking, considered a benchmark in the industry.
