BBVA brings together the main Iberian corporates and institutional investors at its 4th Iberian Equity Conference

It is the fourth consecutive year that BBVA organizes Iberian Equity conference, event which has become the main annual forum in London specialized in Iberian companies.

In this year's event 33 of the main Spanish and Portuguese companies were represented by their Chief Executives, Finance Directors or members of their Management Committees.

Foreign institutional investors showed a strong interest in the event. One hundred international institutions attended, largely from the UK, but also from North America and Continental Europe, amongst which were the world's main institutions as measured by assets under management. In total, 263 one-on-one meetings were held between companies and investors, 30% more than in the previous year, which shows the growing investor  interest for Spanish equity market.

Julio Sobremazas,Global Head of Equity in BBVA, highlights the interest for Spanish companies and explains that "investors are being really positive regarding the future of the Spanish stock market and they are beginning to consider Spain as a good investment opportunity, after several years during which their interest had focused on other markets".

Javier Valverde, Global Head of Cash Equity Sales, highlights the fact that "this meeting has become the main event of Spanish and Portuguese companies in London, the most important European financial hub".
