BBVA Institutional Custody has been "Top Rated" in the "Agent Banks in Major Market Survey 2013" conducted annually by the prestigious leading sector journal Global Custodian, the results of which were published in its Autumn edition.

This is the highest possible rating and it was achieved in all categories of this survey: "Domestic", in which we are rated by our domestic clients;  "Cross Border/Non Affiiliated", where Non-Domestic Clients provide their assessment; and "Leading", which takes into account the responses of our most important international clients. It is worth noting that this is the first time that BBVA has been Top Rated in the latter, highly significant category.

The specialised services provided by BBVA Institutional Custody were also rated "Best in Class" in nine of the "Cross Border/Non Affiliated" sub-categories analysed, in eight of the thirteen "Leading" sub-categories and in seven of the twelve "Domestic" sub-categories. It is important to note that the "Best in Class" rating is only granted for the best scores on the market.

This latest award comes on the heels of the achievement in May 2013, when Global Finance magazine named BBVA Institutional Custody the "Best Subcustody in Spain" for the second year running in its"World's Best Subcustodian Banks" survey.

The latest distinction extended by Global Finance once again highlights the level of specialized services offered by BBVA Institutional Custody, a market benchmark both in Spain and internationally.
