BBVA has once again been recognized by the prestigious magazine Global Finance for its sub-custodianship activity. For the third year in a row, the bank has received the award for "Best Sub-custodian in Spain", while BBVA Bancomer is once again number one in the "Best Sub-custodian in Mexico" category.
The Global Finance professionals have reached their decision in collaboration with other experts, taking into account parameters such as client relations, quality of service, technology platforms, price competitiveness, solutions to address extraordinary situations, contingency plans, and knowledge of local regulations and practices.
These awards assess the work of banks that excel in asset protection and custody in a highly complex environment in the global markets.
This award follows those obtained in the survey conducted by Global Custodian magazine last September, which recognized BBVA as "Top Rated" in all the categories in which it participated: "Leading", "Cross-Border" and "Domestic". BBVA Bancomer also won the "Commended" and "Best-in-Class for Financing in Mexico" awards in the "Domestic Clients" category organized by the same magazine in its latest "Agent Bank Emerging Markets" survey.
