BBVA closes the largest parking lot acquisition in 2014July 10, 2014
BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking has acted as structuring bank, funder and hedging bank in the funding of the acquisition of 75% of Vinci Park by Ardian and CAA, in what was the biggest global operation in this sector in 2014.
This acquisition is valued at 1,470 million euros, 1,220 of which are funded by BBVA and another six banks. This amount will be divided into four tranches and will be used to fund the acquisition and repayment of part of the existing debt of the Vinci Park Group, with the remaining 25% being owned by Vinci Concessions.
The share signed by BBVA CIB amounts to 190 million euros.
This operation is the result of the concentrated effort carried out by the BBVA teams to support the two favorite consortia in this acquisition, which has become one of the most relevant transactions in 2014. Its closing also strengthens BBVA's relationship with the Vinci Group and the investors Ardian and CAA.
