On May 25, BBVA sought to address the most important concerns of its transaction banking customers. With this aim in mind, it met with some of them at the Fundación Lázaro Galdiano in Madrid during the second series of conferences "Encuentros con la actualidad: Crecimiento Global Moderado y Vulnerable".

This year's topic was global growth as determined by the behavior and outlook for the Chinese economy, commodity prices and central bank policies centered on bolstering liquidity and setting interest rates at minimum levels.

Álvaro Bárez, Head of Global Transaction Banking Europe, opened the session and was followed by Julián Cubero, Chief Economist for Economic Scenarios de BBVA Research, who gave a global perspective of world economy. Next, a roundtable was moderated by Juan Carlos Martín, Head of BBVA Transaction Banking Madrid. The discussion involved several customers as well as Julián Cubero and led to lively debates about the global outlook from the point of view of customers.

This type of event allows customers to obtain greater understanding of the experts' macroeconomic view and strengthens their relationship with BBVA teams.
