BBVA named ‘Best Rising Issuer’ in Asia-Pacific by SRP
The recognition, awarded at the SRP APAC Awards 2026, highlights BBVA’s progress in the Investment Solutions business in Asia-Pacific, where over the past five years it has diversified its offering and strengthened its presence across the region.
BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) has been named ‘Best Rising Issuer’ at the latest edition of the prestigious SRP APAC Awards 2026. The award, presented by the leading industry platform Structured Retail Products (SRP), recognises the bank’s growing relevance in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) structured products market.
The recognition coincides with the fifth anniversary of the launch of BBVA CIB’s Investment Solutions desk in APAC. Since then, the team has progressively expanded its offering and activity across the region, strengthening its presence in markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. In 2025, it took a further step by expanding beyond equities into ates, Credit, Foreign Exchange (FX) and Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS), further strengthening its presence across the networks of both local and global large private banks.
Today, BBVA is highly active across Asia-Pacific, working with both Corporates and Financial Institutions and providing solutions for both distribution and own-account activities.
“This recognition reflects the work carried out over the past five years to build an Investment Solutions platform capable of meeting our clients’ needs across an increasingly broad range of asset classes. Diversifying our offering has been key to continuing our growth in the region and building long-term relationships with our clients,” said Eric Michl, Head of Global Markets Asia.
This award marks a new milestone in BBVA CIB’s growth journey in Asia-Pacific and reflects the progress achieved in the Investment Solutions business through an increasingly diversified offering and a stronger presence across the region’s key markets.
