BBVA has been given the 'Global Outstanding Leadership in Green Bonds' award by the prestigious Global Finance magazine as part of its 'Sustainable Finance Awards 2022'. BBVA also received two other awards for its green bonds in the Latin American and Western European regions.
BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking grants the Asian company Formosa Plastics Group a 100 million dollar sustainability-linked loan. The deal is a forward stride for BBVA CIB in the field of sustainable financing in the Asian market.

Remote commerce has grown exponentially in recent years, a trend that has been driven by the pandemic. During lockdowns, ecommerce skyrocketed and payments via apps and cell phones grew at a dizzying rate.
