BBVA joins Hong Kong’s Private Wealth Management Association

BBVA has been admitted as a member of the Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA), which represents Hong Kong’s private banking sector and supports its broader wealth management ecosystem, strengthening BBVA’s connection to a key Asian market.

Hong Kong has consolidated its position as one of the world’s leading international wealth management centres, supported by a robust regulatory framework and its role as a gateway connecting global capital, financial institutions and investment opportunities in Asia. In this context, BBVA’s membership of the PWMA marks a further step in the development of its relationships with leading financial institutions and with the region’s wealth management ecosystem.

As a member of the association, BBVA will be able to participate more actively in the discussions shaping the evolution of the sector, from the development of new standards to digital transformation and investment trends. This participation will enable the bank to deepen its understanding of the local environment and continue developing solutions aligned with the needs of its clients.

"Being part of the PWMA allows us to be closer to the sector’s leading players and to participate in a key forum for private banking in Hong Kong. This membership will help us continue strengthening our market knowledge, adopt the highest industry standards and broaden our ability to support clients with an increasingly global perspective," said Pep Ferris, Head of CIB Asia at BBVA.

BBVA’s membership of the PWMA builds on the development of its activity in Asia and strengthens its integration into one of the region’s leading financial ecosystems.
