BBVA hosts “Shaping Tomorrow Together” forum in Shenzhen to support Chinese corporate expansion
On October 30, BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking hosted the "BBVA Macroeconomic Insights Forum & Business Networking: Shaping Tomorrow Together" in Shenzhen. The event convened corporate clients, industry leaders, and institutional partners to examine shifting global economic dynamics and address cross-border growth strategies for Chinese enterprises expanding abroad.
Shenzhen and the wider Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) serve as pivotal hubs for advanced manufacturing, technological innovation, and international supply chain integration, making the region an essential launchpad for outbound Chinese investments.
Delivering the opening address, Lei Li, Country Manager of BBVA China & HK, underscored BBVA’s dedication to acting as a strategic bridge for Chinese corporations entering international markets:
"Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area represent the core engine of China’s high-tech innovation and global supply chains. As a global financial institution rooted in Spain, BBVA combines deep local franchises across Europe, Latin America, and Türkiye with international banking capabilities. We are committed to serving as a trusted, long-term financial partner for Chinese enterprises navigating their global expansion."

Following the opening remarks, Dr. Le Xia, Chief Economist for Asia at BBVA, led an in-depth macroeconomic session. Dr. Xia provided an authoritative breakdown of global macroeconomic headwinds and structural trends, focusing specifically on the Latin American economic landscape. His analysis offered actionable perspectives on market access, regulatory environments, and regional growth corridors, generating strong engagement and discussion among attendees.

The event concluded with an exclusive networking reception featuring a live carving and tasting of authentic Spanish Jamón Ibérico. The reception offered guests an immersive cultural setting to deepen professional connections, exchange market intelligence, and discuss bilateral commercial opportunities.
As cross-border trade flows and overseas supply chains continue to evolve, BBVA CIB remains committed to mobilizing its international footprint and sector expertise.
