BBVA México supports Bladex in the reopening of its BLADEX 26-2 issuance for MXN 1.4 billion

BBVA México has supported Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, S.A. (Bladex) in the reopening of its BLADEX 26-2 issue for MXN 1,443 million, a new transaction that underscores the issuer’s recurring presence in the Mexican debt market and reflects institutional investors’ confidence in Bladex’s financial strength and credit profile.

The transaction involved the reopening of MXN 1,443 million of BLADEX 26-2 debt securities, with a remaining maturity of 2.9 years and a floating rate of TIIE de Fondeo plus 58 basis points. It attracted strong interest from local investors.

"Bladex’s repeat access to the Mexican market reflects the growing importance of this market as an option for international issuers seeking to diversify their funding sources," said Álvaro Vaqueiro, Head of BBVA CIB in Mexico. "At BBVA México, we continue to support our clients as they access the capital markets, drawing on our structuring and distribution capabilities to connect their funding needs with a broad investor base," he added. "We congratulate Bladex on this latest transaction and once again thank it for the confidence it has placed in BBVA México as we support the execution of its funding strategy."

The strong reception of this reopening builds on Bladex’s recent issuances in Mexico and reinforces its ability to access the local market on a recurring basis. With a diversified investor base and more than 45 years of track record, Bladex continues to strengthen its presence as a multilateral issuer in the Mexican debt market.
