Episode 38: Tendam
In the latest episode of BBVA Greenfluencers, we speak with Ignacio Sierra, Corporate General Manager at Tendam, one of Europe’s leading fashion groups and owner of brands including Cortefiel, Springfield, Women’secret, Pedro del Hierro and Hoss Intropia.
The fashion industry is undergoing one of the most significant transformations in its history. Increasingly informed consumers, growing demand for transparency, and the development of new materials and processes are driving the industry towards more sustainable and responsible production models.
In conversation with Sandra Crespo, Head of Corporate Clients, BBVA CIB Spain, we explore how Tendam is embedding sustainability into its business strategy through WE CARE, and how this vision extends across garment design, materials, people management, the supply chain and customer relationships.
The episode also explores the role of innovation and the circular economy in transforming the industry. From eco-design and certified materials to initiatives such as R[ECO]LLECT, which promotes the collection, reuse and recycling of garments, Tendam is working to reduce the impact of its products throughout their life cycle while engaging consumers in the process.
The conversation also looks at one of the industry’s major challenges: decarbonisation. Tendam is taking action across areas including renewable energy, energy efficiency, logistics and collaboration with its supply chain as it works towards its climate commitments and long-term goals.
In this episode, you will discover:
- How Tendam integrates sustainability into its strategy and across different areas of the business
- Why innovation and eco-design are key to making fashion more sustainable
- How circularity can help give garments a second life
- The role of people and the supply chain in transforming the industry
- How fashion can become more sustainable while retaining its ability to create, engage and inspire
